Dr. Ryuzo Yanagimachi, the 2023 Kyoto Prize Laureate in Advanced Technology, passed away at the age of 95 on September 28 JST. We would like to express our most sincere condolences.
Dr. Antony Hoare, the 2000 Kyoto Prize laureate in Advanced Technology, was selected as a recipient of the Royal Medal (Physical). Many congratulations on this prestigious recognition!

Due to the spread of the COVID-19, Kyoto Prize and related events had been cancelled since the 2019 Kyoto Prize was awarded. Now we will hold Kyoto Prize Presentation Ceremony for the first time in these four years.
The 2023 Kyoto Prize at Oxford was held at the University of Oxford on May 9 and 10. The 2022 Kyoto Prize laureates, Dr. Carver Mead, Dr. Bryan T. Grenfell and Dr. Zakir Hussain, participated in panel discussion as well as public lectures. Here is a brief report of the events.
