One-step synthesis of dense assembly of π-conjugated molecules for near-infrared photoelectric conversion
Keyword
Summary
Photoelectric conversion of near-infrared light using π-conjugated molecules is expected to be applied to innovative electronic devices, such as security sensors with high biocompatibility. However, the development of π-conjugated molecules that absorb near-infrared light has been hampered by their cumbersome synthesis, purification, and assembling processes on thin films. In this study, I aim to establish a simple method for fabricating organic semiconducting π-conjugated molecules that absorb at wavelengths longer than 800 nm, based on our original catalyst-free click reaction between electron-accepting π-conjugated molecules and amines.

Message

I aim to create unique organic materials by functionalizing π-conjugated molecules with my original chemical reaction. I would like to pursue my research with a sense of pride and responsibility as a member of the Seiwa Scholars Society.
