Identification of causative genes for inclusion body disease of Japanese brown cattle: a novel neurodegenerative disease.
Keyword
Summary
Inclusion body disease in brown cattle is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the formation of eosinophilic inclusion bodies in neurons. The disease has been reported only in brown cattle, and this fact seems to indicate that some genetic predisposition is involved. In this study, we will approach the disease from a genetic perspective and aim to elucidate the causative gene. Research on the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases has been extremely difficult in the medical field, and we hope that our analysis of animal diseases will lead to breakthrough discoveries.

Comment

Animals, like humans, suffer from a variety of diseases. I would like to continue my research so that I can return the knowledge gained from animal diseases to various fields beyond my field.
