Molecular mechanisms of synaptic excitatory/inhibitory balance in the brain
Keyword
Summary
I'm working to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of the synaptic excitatory/inhibitory balance that controls brain functions.
Neuroligin family proteins are well known as postsynaptic adhesion molecules, which regulate synaptic formation and functions.
Among Nueroligins, I'm focusing on NL3, which is localized at both excitatory and inhibitory synapses.
I'm studying the molecular mechanisms that localize NL3 at excitatory and inhibitory synapses respectively.
