Summary
For the advanced utilization of light, it is essential to reduce the thermal energy loss associated with excited state relaxation. This energy loss can be circumvented by a photophysical process called singlet fission in which one singlet splits into two triplet excitons. In this work, we combine the singlet fission with photochemical reactions in an aim to develop a new photothermal energy storage system with small energy loss in light energy conversion.
